For the last few years I would always know that around this time of year that it was ‘World Card Making Day’ and I often thought to myself that that was cool, but I really never knew what it meant.  So this year I googled it. I was fascinated to find out this is what World Card making Day is -
Oct 2. Paper Crafts magazine celebrates the connections handmade cards create and kicks off the holiday card-making season. This day is set aside to offer card makers fun and inspiring environments in which to create by providing card ideas, tips, sweepstakes and ways to connect through store events, classes, group activities and/or individual card making. Annually, the first Saturday in October. This day first began in 2006.
I have always liked this special day in the paper & scrapbooking world, because there really are a lot of neat activities going on. There are events where you can learn new techniques, meet new friends, or even help out organizations. You can check out blogs, manufacturers, magazines, or get together with a group of good friends. I love it!

With all this excitement it makes me want to give a prize away! Leave a comment why you love to make cards and I will randomly pick someone to send a craft pack too. It is full of goodies like Jillibeans latest paper, and the  fall issue of the Canadian Scrapbooker in it. Oh…I love give aways!

Have a super, fantastic World Card Making Day!
