Ten years ago, in a basement just outside Stockholm there was a tiny shop that sold skinny jeans and vintage clothes. Because it was only opened on Saturday and Sunday they decided to call the shop 'Weekend'. Everyone who managed to find it became hooked. Business was going so well that after a while they could expand into a real store in the center of Stockholm, which, because now it was opened every day of the week changed its name into 'Weekday'.
There is some great news for us in Holland; the Swedes are also going to establish themselves here in Amsterdam.
On August 31st Weekday will open the doors of a three story shop on Rokin 84.
Besides shopping, they will also be organizing events on their top floor.
Today a few bloggers were invited to view the fall/winter collection, unfortunately the best stuff was already snatched away by stylists, but I still we saw some pretty great garments for fall like this burgundy two piece and this mens gradient raglan sweatshirt.
