This little snowman is not only cute, but has such a big heart. He is busy working on The Christmas Love Campaign 2012. He is trying to make as many appearances as possible. And each time he finds a new home to visit, money will be donated to the Cancer Society. You can help play along, give to others, and have a chance to receive some great prizes as well.
My name is Cheryl Boglioli, and I am absolutely thrilled to be a part of Susan K Weckesser’s first ever design team and honored to take part in this event.
I created a mixed media canvas starting with papers from Susan K Weckesser Inc. and collaged that onto the background using Helmar Decoupage and Craft Paste.
After that was dry, I painted it with gesso allowing part of the papers to still peek through. To add some more texture to the pieces, I used light modeling paste and applied it through a stencil.
Once my base was dry, I began adding Pan Pastel to the background to blend and add a soft color to the canvas. For extra sparkle, I also added some Tattered Angels Chalkboard in Chalk and Splash.
I used Ranger Archival Ink to stamp the house and sentiment directly on the canvas. The house is another Susan K. Weckesser and Unity cobranded stamp. I stamped the little snowman on some watercolor paper. The house was colored with Pan Pastels. I also added a little color and shading to the little snowman with Pan Pastels. I outlined the house with Viva Décor Black Glass Effect Gel after it was all dry.
Finally, I used Helmar Gemstone Glue and Flower Soft Polar White to create all the snow texture and Helmar Liquid ScrapDots to pop up the cloud and snowman.
Now, I’m going to find someone to share this with. I hope you’ll consider participating in this wonderful cause. I can assure you that you will be blessed as well as blessing others.
